Yes. You've heard of upstairs, downstairs. You may have been told there's nothing upstairs.

This is a book called Something Upstairs by the famous one note name but not one hit wonder Avi.

Wow, I almost don't have words for what this book did to me.

I've never read, I should say I've never read this book before.

I've read other, I grew up reading other books by Avi of course, it's hard to escape

Avi if you grew up in the 90s I guess or early odds like he's so prolific but somehow this

book just passed me right on by and now it's you know with me forever.

So I learned in preparing for this episode that Avi is not a native Rhode Islander,

contrary to what I was told.

I assumed that Avi was and is a lifelong resident of Rhode Island.

Turns out that Avi briefly lived in Rhode Island, which is a mistake one should commit,

but regardless, I read Avi I read this book I should say specifically as a chapter book and I remember that vividly and I still have my copy of true confessions of Charlotte Doyle.

As I've said to quite a few people who messaged us,

I am not brave enough right now to revisit that book in case it's bad.

I think that's fair case it's bad.
