that great opportunity. All right, we are diving back into Romans chapter 15 today. We're

looking at verses 20 through 21, and the Apostle Paul has just told us that he boasts he

takes pride in the things that God has done through him. Now be careful there. We have

to understand it's not a bad thing to have pride in your own actions, providing that

you are focusing on the actions God is empowering you to do because really then the credit is

going to Jesus for the power that he's he's given you and the work that he's doing through

you. And that's what Paul has just mentioned. And he says in verse 20, and thus, so in other

words, because it's God who's doing the work in me and through me, and thus I make it my ambition

to preach the gospel, not where Christ has already been named, lest I build on someone

else's foundation, but as it is written and here he's going to quote the Old Testament,

those who have never been told of him will see and those who have never heard will understand.

Paul's ambition, did you hear that? He's talking about his deep desires, his longings, the

goals, the dreams, the visions, the aspirations, the ways in which he wants to serve Jesus are
