Summary

An oppressed people attempts to flee the clutches of tyranny. Perhaps in solidarity, Texas Democrats also attempt to throw off the chains that bind them (to responsibility) by stocking up on cold ones and hopping a private jet to Washington. Senator Ted Cruz, who might know a little something about Cuba and Texas, sits down with Michael Knowles to discuss the cause of libertad, the Democrats' double standard on the border, and—how could they not?—Scarface.

but the Texas Democrats are being pulled back to their own state. This is Verdict with Ted Cruz.

Welcome back to Verdict with Ted Cruz. I'm Michael Knowles. I think something is going on in Cuba as well.

If you take away the cops and the dogs and the billy clubs and the bleedings and the broken bones and you replace it with a private jet and Miller Light, they're exactly the same.

1:16.4

They needed the ID to buy the Miller Light, which was famously photographed on their voyage.

1:20.9

And to get on the damn plane. And to get on the, yes, even for private. That's true. They would

still need to show their ID, but they didn't have their masks. By the way, all these Democrats want to mandate masks on planes, none of them had masks on planes.

1:30.6

So this was a ridiculous, I mean, a really not great PR. You see all these Texas Dems fleeing.

1:36.5

But what is the legal aspect here? I mean, why do they need to flee the state to stop this bill?

1:46.3

Well, listen, this is a political stunt.

1:52.8

Yeah. And they flew to Washington because they knew that they would get a bear hug from Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and Schumer and Pelosi and all the Democrats and all the media. And they would treat them,

1:58.3

you know, what a chance to be. I'm Martin Luther King, I'm fleeing the state.

2:03.1

What nobody talks about is what actually the Texas Election Integrity Bill does.

2:07.4

So what's in the bill?

2:08.7

So it's a series of common sense steps.
