Since I started researching these kinds of stories, I've read just about every kind of encounter you can imagine, haunted barracks, things in the tree line, voices on the radio, stuff that, if you've ever pulled a late night watch somewhere remote, probably hits a little too close to home.

But every now and then, I'll get a story that doesn't quite fit into any of those

boxes, and more often than not, it has something to do with the sky. Unidentified lights, objects that

move in ways that just don't make sense, entire units seeing the same thing at the same time,

and walking away with no real explanation

for what they just witnessed. Now usually when these kinds of reports come in, they're from

places you would expect. The U.S., the U.K., Canada, areas with lots of air traffic, a lot of military

training outdoors, a lot of eyes constantly looking up.

But every now and then, something comes in from somewhere a little less expected.

And when it does, it tends to stand out.

A while back, I got an email from a guy named Mario.

He was serving as a combat engineer in the Croatian army.

And what he described happening to him and about 50 other soldiers during a field exercise in 2019.

Honestly, it's one of the most intense accounts I've read,
