A casual glance at the condition of our world will reveal just how far away from God our society has traveled.

Political tension, financial instability, widespread violence, and the list goes on and on.

The name Habakkuk is most interesting because it literally means to embrace, literally to grab a hold of something and hold on to it.

Well, I want to tell you that in the storms of life and the great troubled times we're living in,

figure it all out, let me tell you what you do. You embrace the Lord. You wrap your arms again around the reality of who your God is, and then you find

very quickly his arms are wrapped around you. We return today to Habakkuk chapter number one.

What an amazing chapter. It began with the burden that he saw and God's judgment on the way, impending judgment.
