This episode is also being sent out on the great detectives of old-time radio feed,

to kind of give a sample of what we're doing on the Amazing World of Radio this summer.

This summer we are doing a summer of summer replacement programs.

And I decided the one that I would share with the great detectives audience is one that's

promulated in 1950. NBC and CBS had two similarly themed programs.

They both focused on unsolved crimes and hoped to enlist the public in solving them.

To me, they sounded kind of like predecessors to unsolved mysteries and America's most wanted,

which were two shows that we watched as a family quite a bit when I was growing up.

So I was genuinely intrigued and thought this would make an interesting entry in our series.

Now as best I can tell, no case was actually solved as a result of this summer series.
