| 0:36.2 | Our Rosary meditation is brought to us today by Dave Staples and instructor here in Cincinnati with myself, John Leondducker, and he wrote tonight on some reasons for the nativity. |
| 0:39.6 | As we begin, think about a newborn baby for a moment, that first infant cry. |
| 0:46.1 | Their need to be wrapped right away, their fragility as you hold them. |
| 0:52.2 | Now surround that baby with the nativity and we have the first moments of |
| 0:56.2 | Christmas. What is ironic is that this baby is the word incarnate and so he's speaking volumes in a form that cannot much speak at all. |
| 1:08.0 | For instance, think of the humility that God chose to come in, not with the glimpse of divine power which at the transfiguration |
| 1:16.5 | threw the three apostles to the ground. Instead, he came helpless thrusting himself into our arms and asking us to care for him. |
| 1:27.0 | Babies make us want to protect them, to care for them, to make sure they're okay. They inspire within us a deep sense of caring for the innocent. |

| 1:41.0 | In his desire to reconcile us to himself, Jesus wanted to disarm any fear we have of him, |
| 1:48.9 | any notion that he's mad or he wants to punish us. |
| 1:53.9 | He is revealing to us the character of God. |
| 1:57.2 | And one of the first things he wants |
| 1:59.2 | is to show us his mercy. |
| 2:02.0 | It's upon that foundation that he wants to build a relationship. |
| 2:07.6 | Our father who are in heaven, how would be thy name? Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. |
| 2:13.4 | Give us this day our deadly bread and free every star trespasses |
| 2:18.0 | as we forgive those who trespass against us |
