Summary

In September of 1996, 15-year-old Danielle "Danni" Houchins was found lifeless and face down in a marshy area in Belgrade, Montana. The local sheriff's department ruled her cause of death as drowning and her manner of death as undetermined. The sheriff told the press that there were no indications of foul play, despite autopsy findings showing the exact opposite. For 24 years, Danni's case continued to grow cold, despite her family's insistence that her death wasn't an accident until a retired LAPD detective entered the chat and refused to quit.
