Summary

EP322. After having kids, the easiest thing to let slide is OURSELF. How does this happen and how do we slowly begin to prioritize ourselves after kids? Renee shares her experience with this, what her plans are in the future, and how she’s trying to figure out what to prioritize (there's just too many things). Also, she gives a fish update and Milo makes an unexpected appearance.

There is so much food misinformation and disinformation out there, and it can feel impossible

to know what's real and what's BS.

On Biteback, my goal is to help listeners create a pleasurable relationship with food,

Welcome to Thursday's episode. Why does my voice sound like this? Is this from my sinuses?

0:58.3

you know when, like Adele has voice issues, she goes to a special doctor and they fix up her vocal cords.

1:14.2

I think that's what I need. Also, when I sing from my chest and not my stomach. So my voice cuts

1:22.3

out like right away. If I'm in the car singing real loud to whoever, probably like, remember when Carrie Underwood had that song,

1:33.5

that one album, it was like, I dug my keys into the sad.

1:38.8

Like, I used to scream that album out loud.

1:43.8

And within two, three songs, my voice is gone because I don't,

1:48.6

I sing with my throat instead of my stomach. So I should take voice lessons. Anywho, I wanted to

1:57.1

give a little bit of a fish update because I haven't been on Instagram stories much.

I was away last week. So we started with three fish. We got three little neon tetras. That's the ones that Milo

picked out. We set up the tank. We let it, you know, marinate for a week before we introduced fish into it.

We checked the water. Everything was good. Temperature was good. So we put the three fish in,

2:26.0

the three little blue tetras and two of them passed away. My husband got another one from PetSmart. It's a tetra. It's the same kind of fish,

2:37.8

but it's not neon blue. That one seems to be thriving. Um, when we put, so right now there's two
