On this episode of the Dr. Tina show, I'm going solo, and I'm going to share with you today why I quit drinking alcohol and why I think alcohol is a poison.

0:17.7

Well, I don't actually think it. I know it. I'm going to break this down for you today,

0:21.2

and I'm going to try to keep it succinct. This is not a judgment on anyone. I honestly don't care

0:27.1

what anyone decides to do with their own health, as long as it does not impact me negatively,

1:30.5

And my drinking was never heavy. I'm not someone who can drink heavily. My mother always used to joke that my

1:36.2

mom doesn't drink. And she used to joke that any more than two drinks and she'd be vomiting.

1:40.1

I didn't believe her. And then one day I turned 25 and the hangover started, even from the smallest amount of alcohol.

1:46.6

That has something to do with my genetic propensity for detox, which is not something I'm going to get into here.

1:52.2

But I don't detox awesomely.

1:54.8

And it really was showing itself.

1:56.9

As I approached middle age, it was really showing itself.
