Ranger Reed, what happened to the park trail?

Expect the unexpected in the wilderness, Piper.

But we're in a park, and dirt and rock are covering the walking path.

The heavy rains that we had recently moved a slew of dirt and rock downhill.

In other words, we had a small landslide.

In the park? Cool. I knew the heavy rains could do this.

You knew, knew?

Yeah. Like the landslide at the school a while back.

Is this going to cause damage?

Oh no. Nothing like what happened to Mrs. Lewis's classroom.

Whew. The rain turned loose dirt into mud which increased the weight of soil. That makes sense.
