Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham.

We're counting down to just nine days to go until those European elections.

Some newspapers are pretending that there is still an appetite

for the various plots being hatched in Westminster

and the infighting in the two major parties

about when Theresa May should leave number 10,

when she should tell us when she is leaving number 10

and just exactly what, if anything,

is going to come out of the Brexit talks with Labour in number 10,

or indeed outside of it.

Sadly, for listeners to this show,

that particular ship

has sailed, I would say. We are now all roundly fed up to the back teeth of all the maneuvering,

the positioning, the posturing. Let's not bother anymore, shall we? Let's just get to the elections
