Hey, what's going on? Hope you're doing good. This week at House Church, we talked about being sold out to God. I want to start with a story. When I was in high school, I went to Jasper, Georgia for this Young Life camp. The camp was called Sharp Top, and we'd serve up there for a month doing different jobs. Some people would work in the kitchen. Some people would work groundskeeping. Some people would do laundry.

Some people would help out with the games.

My job was to be on OX all month long.

I was coming up with playlist and making sure that the games and the music and the chapel meetings that we had, all the audio and the visual and everything was good.

And it was a really fun job. You know, the little middle school kids that we were doing this camp for thought I was a

hero because I was playing all the songs that they would like. And every night we would have chapel.

And at this chapel, we would play games also, but there'd also be a message. And so I had to make

sure that the microphone was on and the preacher had what he needed to give the message.

And because I was sitting up there intently listening to the audio, I was also listening to the message.

Now, I was at a point in my life where I was, you know, just doing in the party scene, if you will, and just all over the place.

I wasn't walking with God.

I was very lukewarm.

I was still going to other Christian stuff.

I was going to church, but I was also partying with all my friends on the weekends and living wild, basically.

And so I was up there to have fun.

I was up there to not really encounter God, but just to get away from

my family for a month and just have fun. But these messages started hitting me. And I felt this

strong desire to be sold out to God. And so I made some rash promises. And I was like, God,

when I get back home, I'm going to lead my friends to Christ. And we're all

going to be in Bible study and we're all going to be really serious about all this. And I get back

home, I pull up to the house. My house is in boxes. I'm like, what's going on? Why is everything

boxed up? And my parents say, hey, we're moving back to California. We were living in Alabama at the time, and I was in high school and I loved it, had lots of
