On the day after President Trump's return to the White House, the heads of Softbank, an open AI, stood next to the president as a $500 billion effort was unveiled to supercharge America's artificial intelligence ambitions.

But in the six months since the announcement of Stargate,

we have exclusively reporting that the project is struggling to get off the ground.

The two companies initially pledged to invest $100 billion immediately.

However, the project is now setting the more

modest goal of building a small data centre by the end of this year, likely in Ohio.

China has confirmed it'll hold a top-level summit with the European Union in Beijing this week.

will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday.

This, as two of the world's largest economies

The China European Union summit was originally set
