snippet of Joe Biden's speech. We have my favorite thing in the world. What is it? Everyone

knows me doing and I told you so. Of course. And well, the future. But let's set all the

bad aside for a moment and talk just a little bit of history. Don't worry. This ties directly

to Afghanistan and the speech Joe Biden just gave. In case you missed the speech he just

gave, you really didn't miss much of anything. He left most of the talking to other people

did throw in this lovely little snippet about refugees. We're conducting thorough security

screening and the intermediate stops they're making for anyone who is not a US citizen or

a lawful permanent resident of the United States. Anyone arriving in the United States will

have undergone a background check and and we must all work together to resettle thousands

of Afghans who ultimately qualify for refugee status. The United States will do our part.

And we are already working closely with refugee organizations to rebuild the system that

was purposefully destroyed by my predecessor. We're all going to do this together. That's

weird. I feel like I have heard that phrase somewhere before in the recent past and it

didn't work out very well for everybody. In fact, it didn't feel like we were all in

this together at all. We'll get to that. We're going to get to Afghanistan. We're going
