0:38.3	by Chevron. Seriously, he was locked up. He was under house arrest and then he was sent
0:42.2	to prison, federal prison. And then he was allowed to serve the rest of his sentence
0:46.3	out under house arrest again. And when he was under house arrest, he had like an ankle
0:49.6	monitor and everything and he had to check in with a halfway house. And his crime was successfully
0:55.8	suing Chevron for poisoning the people of Ecuador. That's really what I mean, obviously
1:00.9	it was a technicality that they got him on. Not that it was actually not turning over his
1:06.9	laptop and cell phone, which is so obviously something that a lawyer should have the right
1:12.7	not to do. And because he appealed that order, he was in contempt, criminal contempt. It's
1:21.0	an unprecedented case in many ways because it really wasn't overt corporate prosecution because
1:28.0	the Southern District of New York declined to prosecute this case because it was so ridiculous.
1:33.5	So this judge, Judge Louis Kaplan, a Clinton appointee, handed the case over to a corporate
1:40.7	law firm which had represented Chevron. Had represented Chevron, they took over,
1:47.1	prosecuted Donziger and Louis Kaplan also, that same judge, hand picked the judge to oversee
1:54.7	the contempt trial, the contempt case. And that judge is Lauret Epreska, who is a member of the
2:02.1	Federalist Society, Major Right Wing Legal Society, which also gets money from Chevron.
2:07.2	And it was so corrupt when she sentenced him to the maximum six month sentence, she said that
