Comedian Kevin Hart has stepped down from hosting the Oscars over offensive anti-gay jokes

he made almost 10 years ago, tweets from 2009 and a stand-up routine in 2010.

Initially, people were outraged when these tweets resurfaced.

Kevin Hart has already apologized for them.

He actually addressed it in 2015 in an interview, but they're still mad and they demanded

he apologized.

Now, defiantly, Kevin Hart said,

no, he refused.

He made two statements where he said,

listen, we've been through this before, I'm not going to apologize again.

And if the Academy, the Oscars, don't want him to host, then so be it.

However, unfortunately, he caved.

And only about a half an hour after posting his defiant message to Instagram,

he gave up an issued two apologies on Twitter.

Unfortunately, these will do nothing.

Because time and time again, we can see that in the past,

there were things that weren't as offensive.

And over time, they become more offensive and comedians, actors,

personalities will apologize for them.

But those apologies do absolutely nothing.
