The business world was hit with a surprise last week with news of a shakeup at Meta.

The parent company of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger,

announced that Cheryl Sandberg, the company's chief operating officer,

was stepping down from her post after nearly a decade and a half.

The news came as a shock even to people close to the company.

But the move, according to the Wall Street Journal, was prompted by a force that feels anything but surprising.

Burnout. After the last two years, that's something a lot of us can relate to. Sandberg will remain on META's board, but said in an interview with fortune that she plans to spend more time focused on philanthropic

endeavors, including her Lean In Foundation, which is dedicated to fostering women's leadership

and workplace inclusion. As most of us know, Meta isn't the only social media giant going
