Looking at these next headlines, I guess you could say better late than never.

This is the CDC.

The CDC is changing some of the recommendations.

So CDC says schools can now space students three feet apart rather than six.

We go over to the Wall Street Journal.

This is Scott Gottlieb.

He has a little bit of a cottage industry here as a commentator now after he left the FDA.

He says, where's the science behind CDC's six foot social distance decree?

He writes, well, I have a clip in a minute a second, but he writes the six foot directive

might have been the single costliest measure CDC has recommended, which has been largely

followed over the past year.

So what science went into the making and more important, sustaining the recommendation?

Nobody knows for sure.

Most agree the guideline derives.

Most believe the guideline derives from a belief that COVID has largely spread through

respiratory droplets like flu.
