I'm a former fundamentalist who sheds light on the dark side of the church from the pulpits to the pews.

And I wanted to walk you through some of the most disturbing headlines connected to well-known Baptist churches and institutions in the month of January.

And as always, this episode has two primary purposes.

First, it's to get you up on the major stories that you might have missed over the last

month because there are a shocking number of stories that pop up every given month. And second,

I want the sheer volume of these stories to lead to a bigger conversation. I'll never say that

every single person who identifies as a conservative or fundamentalist or Christian is bad. I do want to say that

when it comes to churches connected to stories of abuse, this is beyond just a few bad apples.

There is a pattern here. And the way to see it is simple. Pay attention to what some of these
