Thanks for joining me tonight for this story titled Soaring on Eagle's Wings.

In this Abide Bedtime Story, we will hear how God speaks through the prophet Isaiah to comfort his people.

God tells his people that their sins are forgiven and that they have nothing to fear because the Lord, the creator of the

heavens and the earth, is the one who loves them and saves them, the one who lifts them up

when they are weak and gives them strength to soar on eagle's wings.

These words from God to the prophet Isaiah came at a time when God's people had learned that their city, Jerusalem, was going to fall to invaders. They were going to lose their home

and become exiles god knows what his people need to hear

in a moment like this they need comfort and not just easy words or platitudes true bone-deep comfort
