All right, welcome in, boxing with Manix and Mora. No Sergio this episode doing something a little

different this show. Many of you listening to this pod have attended a major fight card, one put on by

Matron, by PBC, by Golden Boy, one in Los Angeles or New York, Dallas, or Las Vegas.

But how many of you out there have attended a club show?

I'm talking about a small boxing show put on by a local promoter that primarily features

local ticket sellers with the occasional prospect or semi big name to round it out.

Club shows are the lifeblood of boxing, where your favorite fighter began his or her career

and where

fighters not good enough to make it onto the national or global stage have a chance to fight

for real money. But putting on club shows is hard. It is not a lucrative business by any means,

and requires real dedication to ensure that the events are professionally done. Today, I'm going

to bring on a pair of club promoters.
