This is a byproduct of white supremacist patriarchy, the transatlantic slave trade, colonization, widespread racial and social injustice compounded by white people's genteel urban planning policy and biased anthropological rhetoric in the academy that often overlooks institutional and governmental policies designed to support the disenfranchisement of black folk, indigenous and POC via early 20th Century discriminatory housing laws.
