Morning everybody, welcome along. It's Tuesday, the 7th of February. It's racing through. It's amazing, isn't it?

0:13.0

Because yesterday, yesterday was a day and a half as far as I was concerned. Because what were the news about Trump?

0:19.5

He was kind of overshadowed in this country,

0:22.1

only for a brief moment, though, only for a smidgen of time, with David Beckham. And this bizarre

0:28.4

story about leaked emails, because according to what I read in the paper, I've either got this

0:34.2

completely wrong, and in which case, you know, somebody will say, no, that didn't happen.

0:38.4

But here's a sister company to a company that employ him or look after some of his bits and pieces.

0:45.6

So a sister company, so a second company down the line, get a demand from a hacker that unless they get allegedly a million pounds, they're going to release these

0:57.2

emails purporting to come from David Beckham, okay? Clear so far. So the sister company go,

1:05.8

we're not paying it, the next minute they start turning up in the newspapers. So I'm somewhat confused, as indeed you are.

1:13.0

Have the newspapers paid for these leaked emails? Have they done a deal with the hackers? Do the

1:23.8

which has got David Beckham's name on it. Now, if somebody's hacked into his emails,

1:27.0

it would be quite easy, I should imagine, if you were a very clever person, to change wording

1:31.5

and everything else. Although David's actually come out saying that, you know, he was in a different

1:36.6

time, because I told you, they weren't new. These sort of appeared a little bit sort of later.

1:42.3

But anyway, it's damaging to the brand. Whichever way it is,

1:46.3

David Beckham, apparently, as I say, take it with a pinch of salt, please, said, you know,

1:52.4

if I was in America, I'd have been given a knighthood by now. Insinuating to a lot of people and

1:57.1

almost, you know, putting the thought in their mind, that it's a case of he's done this charity work to get a knighthood, which is the way the press appear to have been interpreting. And they're sort of saying, well, you know, I give stuff to charity shops on a regular basis. Should I get a knighthood? You know, David Beckham, I think UNICEF have said he's actually given money and everything else. And very shortly,

2:23.6

and it is the backlash. It is a backlash. There was a well-known PR on the television last night.
