We took the day off yesterday.

I hope everybody had a great Fourth of July weekend.

Tommy, what did you do over the weekend? Do you light up fireworks in your

development there? Are you a fireworks guy? In terms of what? Watching them or lighting them off?

Lighting them off? No, no, I am not. Now, let me just say that there were many years when the kids

were young that I would go out and buy like a bag full of, you know, some of those cone things

and, you know, in our backyard, I'd put them up on this ledge, you know, every bit of 30 feet

minimum away from everybody. We had a deck they could sit on and watch them and I'd light off, you know, every bit of 30 feet minimum away from everybody.

But that was it.

No, I'm not a big firework guy.

Yeah, neither am I.

We used to do a little bit when the kids were young, uh but i don't set them off but uh when i was

growing up in brooklyn uh on july to fourth there'd be about half a dozen families that would

get together out on washington avenue and sit on like the stoops and shoot all fireworks.

And my parents were included in that group.

And I know this is my favorite memory of July 4th is the cops came at one point and told my parents and their friends to stop shooting off fireworks.
