All right, it is Tuesday, July 12th. Happy Emmy nominations day, Craig. Do you have Emmys fever?

Yeah, I'm just overflowing with joy and excitement.

All right, we have the nominations this morning. And we'll get into it on this episode.

We got In Ku Kang from The Washington Post here to talk about it. But just a little intro, HBO and HBO Max, the big winner today,

140 nominations up from 130 last year. This is in contrast with Netflix, which has 105 nominations,

which is good enough for number two, but that is down considerably from last year's 129 nominations.

This has really been the pissing match of the TV industry and what people pay attention

to inside Hollywood.

It's hilarious this year because last year there was a huge controversy over Netflix

complaining that HBO was combining its nominations with HBO Max into one number, which Netflix

thought it should be two numbers, even though it's one platform and all the programming is on

both, you know, everything that's on HBO is also on HBO Max, which seemed a little silly.

But this year, the TV Academy didn't even release the pecking order.

We had to add it up ourselves and the networks had to kind of verify everything themselves,

which is hilarious.

Yeah, why would they do that?

Why do they need to appease Netflix?
