This person flicked up this slide for literally, I'm not lying, about four seconds, just

0:14.3

when this is our data from the blood glucose readings, click, that was it.

0:18.4

Anyway, this lecture goes on for maybe half an hour and at the end of the

0:22.1

presentation he puts up his hand and goes, can you just go back to slide 13? And it was this

0:26.8

thing. And he goes, but I just noticed subject six is actually in a hypoglycemic state. So how can

0:32.3

you not say this is down to bug? And I was literally like, you freak. How have you picked up on that one data point?

1:16.6

I am your host, Danny Lennon, and today we're at episode 237 of the podcast, and one that I think is going to be pretty special, at least for me, given that today's guest, Martin McDonald,

1:22.5

who has been on the show, I'm guessing three or four times previously, and in extremely popular

1:51.2

And so we're going to try and get into some of Martin's background through not only his original academic studies, his early career, some of the things that were going on internally

2:03.1

in his mind during those time points, and looking at some of those early influences and experiences

2:07.9

and moments that kind of shaped the career he's had in the industry to where it is now.

2:12.9

2:30.6

Marlon has been a long time influence on my career from many, many years ago, from when

2:38.1

he originally acted in a mentorship role to me back probably, I'm guessing, five-ish years ago,

2:46.2

maybe a bit over five, I think it was 2013, maybe even six, somewhere around that range.

2:53.9

And in the intervening years, I've had the opportunity to, and thankfully I'm able to, at this point, call Martin a friend.
