Welcome back and thank you for joining me. I'm your host, Nick Ryan. Tonight's episode is brought to you by my newest supporters, Rachel Malibdinum, Jay Sue, Tindy, and Anne Shue. Thank you so very much for making the show possible.

Thank you. Our first experience of the night comes to us from Robert, and Robert's story is called Bigfoot.

0:54.3

Robert says,

0:56.1

I have been keeping this story to myself for many years, because I don't know what it was exactly.

1:01.5

I wrote down what happened at the time in a journal that I carried with me, and years

1:05.5

later, after reviewing it, I realized that the sounds I was hearing could be attributed to

1:10.1

a Sasquatch, but at that time

1:12.1

I didn't know anything about that. This was 2004. I was backpacking in the mountains near Tucson,

1:18.7

Arizona, alone, and I had climbed to a remote site that had water that was at about 5,500 feet.

1:36.9

by the sound of havelinas, which are desert pigs, and they were rooting around my area looking

1:42.3

for food. When one would get close to my tent, I would yell out,

1:46.6

and they would scamper away. This went on for a while until around 3 a.m. when I heard footsteps coming

1:53.0

from behind my tent, where a small stream of water was. It sounded like a person walking, bipedal,

1:59.9

slowly on the gravel on a trail, slowly approaching my tent.

2:04.4

When they got next to me, I yelled out, as I did with the havelina, and I expected it to run off, but instead it just stopped.

2:12.6

I had this overwhelming feeling of dread and fear, unlike anything I had ever experienced. I grabbed my knife,

2:20.3

but I was shaking uncontrollably. I never felt fear like that. I couldn't see out of my tent

2:26.2

because the rain cover was on. However, I thought that maybe I could unzip the tent cover and look out.

2:32.3

But then, I passed out. The next thing I knew, it was morning,

2:37.8

and I woke up wondering how I could have fallen asleep when I was so unbelievably frightened.
