Kat Bailey. With me today is senior writer Bob Mackey. Hello, everybody. Why, hello. No Nadia this

week, because she is taking a well-earned vacation. So we're going to cover a whole bunch of topics

in the RPG spectrum this week. We're going to do some RPG news. We're going to talk a bit

about Bob's localization feature from last week. And we're going to cover a new feature that we're

going to be doing for a few weeks here. And a Sennies highlights in which we take a franchise, like a long-running franchise that was

around during the Super Nintendo era, and we kind of talk about what did the Super Nintendo

mean for that RPG franchise?

And in this case, we'll be talking, we'll be starting with kind of the granddaddy of the JRP

Dragon Quest. So the first bit of RPG news that we should probably hit is we're going to say

rest in peace to Manabu Daishima, who passed away at the only 45, which is kind of a tragedy.

So he was responsible for the field art for Croto Trigger,

the 3D map design for dirge of Cerberus and Final Fantasy 12,

and the world graphic design for Secret of Mana.

His final title was Parasite Eve, the third birthday.

I got to say if, like, he was responsible for, like for the field art of Final Fantasy 12 and Chrono Trigger,

he was really darn good at what he did.

Yeah, he was actually, I saw Gama Sutra had a little bio of him,

and he's in the developer room at the end of Chrono Trigger.
