Oh, it is one of our favorite days of the year. Christmas has come at last the first day of

NBA Free Agency. And while there are those pesky reporters and agents who want to sneak into the closet and see what's under the tree, what's going to get wrapped up for us on this day, it still doesn't ruin the magic of it all.

But one thing that I think we got to start with Danny that maybe has ruined the magic

for a few teams cap planners. The solid days of 10% cap increases are projected by the league

to last a mere one year. As expected, the cap went up 10% this year with the new TV deal. But

7% is all the league is forecasting as the increase in the cap next year.

Most people, including us, and we could talk more about why this was gotten wrong in a bit.

But most people, including us, had it as 10% for at least the next three, four years baked into our sheets.

I'm sure many cap planners did too.

Not going to be the case.

And you can I say, oh, how big of a difference is 7% versus 10%.

It's pretty significant.

So if we're thinking about where the cap could be for some of these years, like, you know,

there could be some real movement here.
