Hello and welcome to The Week Junior Show. I'm Bex and I'm joined by writers Joe and Kay from

the Week Junior, the magazine Making Sense of the World for 8 to 14-year-olds. Now, in a week where

world leaders met to discuss peace in Ukraine and the word inspo was added to the Cambridge

Dictionary, we're going to be discussing some of the other stories that feature in the latest issue of the magazine. Make sure you're listening closely because at the end of

the show, we'll be asking a question about what you've heard, and if you answer it correctly,

you could win a prize. But before we begin, there's something I want to talk to you about.

I noticed a story in this week's issue about elephants using gestures to communicate with

humans. So it got me thinking, if you could communicate with any animal, what would you choose

and why? Kay, how about you? I choose dogs because recently I looked after a dog and it had been

staying with another person the week before and I really wanted to

have a conversation with her and ask her how her week with the other dog sitter had been and

whether it had been good and if she had any feedback for how I could make it better,

but obviously I couldn't. I love the idea that you were kind of in competition with the last person who'd looked after the dog and you were like, am I better? Am I worse? What can I do for you? How many stars would you leave me in a review? Good reason to check in with that dog. Joe, how about you? I reckon I'd communicate with birds because I think they could help me navigate. So when I'm, I live in

London. So when I'm walking around London, they'd be above buildings and looking down and

helping me work out where to go. That is smart. Yeah, using them as your own personal kind of GPS

tracker. That's a very good idea. I'm going to go for a kind of similar reason, I guess,

mice, because there's lots of mice around in the countryside and in cities, sadly, in some of our buildings, there are mice running around. And I feel like mice must know everything. I think they have the intel, they have the goss on what's happening inside, outside. So basically, I want some mice to help me gossip, I think, is the thing. I'd love
