Summary
Welcome to the "Saturday Morning Golf Stat" from the Hack it Out Golf Podcast. From 30' away, even a Tour pro rarely expects to make his putt. But how often is he leaving it more than 5' from the hole? How often will his putt come up short of the hole? These are the questions Lou brings to today's episode. Mark and Greg give their answers, but more importantly, they are shocked by the 5' answer—and they offer some great advice, not only for putting, but for your expectations on the greens.
Each of these will be a mini-episode (10-15 minutes long) about an interesting golf stat. We will discuss what you can learn, and most importantly, how you can apply this on the golf course to lower your scores and lower your handicap.
Listen on your drive to the golf course or over your Saturday morning coffee!

| 0:00.0 | Saturday stat time. We're talking putting. I saw something on, I think we're talking about disc like lag putting for Tor pros 30 feet, Lou. Is that what we're doing? That is correct. I saw something from a Tor pro recently saying something about this. You did? What did you see? Well, they just said something that was ridiculously wrong. And I just thought, am I allowed to point this out? Because if I do, I'm the bad guy. So I didn't. I text you. I think, have you seen this? I don't pay attention to most of your text. Never wrong. All posted on social platforms. They were proud of it. We got a video out. |

| 0:49.3 | Maybe I'm wrong. |
| 0:50.3 | Maybe this data is incorrect. |
| 0:52.0 | And this one person has solved everything we know. |
| 0:56.4 | But anyway, |
| 0:57.0 | can we get to the numbers? |
| 0:58.5 | This is my time. |
| 0:59.6 | Like, |
| 0:59.8 | I look forward to this every week talking about these numbers. |
| 1:03.3 | Hit me. |
| 1:04.0 | So tour pros from 30 feet. |
| 1:06.4 | This is the average tour pro. |
| 1:07.9 | So this is everyone on tour over multiple years. First question is |
| 1:14.0 | what percent of 30 footers end up short of the hole? So they do not reach the hole. What percent |
| 1:21.8 | end up short of the hole? That's question number one. And question number two is what percent of their 30 footers finish longer than five feet zero inches from the hole? |
