Summary

From the same yardage, better golfers are, well, better. Duh. But better golfers most often are hitting less club from the same distance. If a scratch golfer and 15-index both have a pitching wedge from the fairway, won't they hit the green at a similar rate? That's the question the Lou puts to Mark and Greg. Once they settle the winner for the weekend, they talk about the advantages of a better player, and how we all can hit more greens in our next rounds.

Each of these will be a mini-episode (10-15 minutes long) about an interesting golf stat. We will discuss what you can learn, and most importantly, how you can apply this on the golf course to lower your scores and lower your handicap. Listen on your drive to the golf course or over your Saturday morning coffee!

Saturday sat time. Greg is on an ultimate heater. He's invincible. I'm looking forward to what we have this week, Lou, because honestly, I'm beside myself. I don't really know what to do at the moment.

0:15.2

I don't know. I haven't asked Lou, are you starting to feel sorry for Mark or are you?

0:19.5

Someone has to feel sorry for me somewhere, surely.

0:22.4

Other than yourself?

0:25.6

You know, I, to answer your question, Greg, no, I don't feel sorry.

0:30.4

Subtle as a brick to the head.

0:32.9

No, not at all.

0:34.1

He's loving every second of it, Greg.

0:36.7

But today, today, we're going into a world that Mr. Mark Crossfield loves, and we're talking pitching wedges today. Mark's always been, I think, a good wedge player. Is that fair to say? Not now. I used to be. I'm pretty rubbish now, to be fair. As an adult, I've got rubbish, but I used to be, yeah. All right. Well,

0:55.5

today we're talking pitching wedges. So we're talking players hitting pitching wedge from

1:01.3

the fairway. And we're going to look at two different skill levels, scratch players and 15

1:07.6

index players. And when they hit their pitching wedge from the fairway,

1:13.6

what percent of the time are they hitting the green?

1:17.5

Regardless of Yadage?

1:19.5

Yeah, whatever.

1:20.8

They have a pitching wedge in their hand, right?

1:23.1

These are full swings.

1:24.2

These are not chip shots or anything.

1:25.7

These are full swing distances.

1:28.0

What percent of the time are they hitting the green? So this is for a scratch and a 15 index.

1:36.3
