Question one. Smarty fan James in Minnesota asks, who invented the first battery? Great question.

And the answer is, the first real battery was invented in 1800 by an Italian scientist named Alessandro

Volta. Yep, the same guy whose name gave us the word Volt. Volta created a stack made of zinc

and copper discs, separated by pieces of salty wet cloth. When he connected the top and bottom

with the wire, electricity flowed, making the world's first voltaic pile.
