I met Aloha and welcome to Amon podcast where we preach the good news of Jesus Christ and how it

applies to everyday life. I am lookilani your host and I'm joined by my husband Alex who is

preaching about being small-minded. Jesus teaches us that many are called but few are chosen

and that the road to heaven is narrow and few people find it. To stay on that narrow path we must

be small-minded in the best way. The Apostle Paul encourages to live quiet and simple lives as we

follow Christ. Today's episode is a call to slow down, minimize and think small. We will be in Matthew

chapter 7 verses 13 through 23. We'll go ahead and read those right now. Heaven can be entered only

through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad and its gate is wide enough for all the

multitudes who choose its easy way. But the gateway to life is small and the road is narrow and only

a few ever find it. Beware of false teachers who come distinguished as harmless sheep but our wolves

and will tear you apart. You can detect them by the way they act just as you can identify a tree

by its fruit. You need never confuse grapevines with thorn bushes or figs with thistles. Different

kinds of fruit trees can be quickly be identified by examining their fruit. A variety that produces

delicious fruit never produces an inedible kind and a tree producing an inedible kind can't

produce what is good. So the trees having the inedible fruit are chopped down and thrown on the

fire. Yes, the way to identify a tree or a person is by the kind of fruit produced. Not all who

sound religious are really godly people. They may refer to me as Lord but still won't get to heaven.

For the decisive question is whether they obey my father in heaven. At the judgment many will tell

me Lord Lord we told others about you and use your name to cast out demons and to do many other

great miracles but I will reply you have never been mine. Go away for your deeds are evil.
