| 0:40.0 | Alright, now let's get into it. |
| 1:03.0 | Welcome to another episode of Small Doses. Now we have been giving you some refills, which are us revisiting dope episodes that we've done in the past. |
| 1:13.0 | And part of that is because, you know, it's summer, but also because there's just really like things that we have talked about that people will ask me like, |
| 1:22.0 | can you talk about that again? And I'm like, we can't talk about it again, but we can also just give you like the one that we did talk about with a little extra sauce on the side. |
| 1:30.0 | Now, it is about that time where people are headed back to school. I can't believe that it's already about that time, but some people are heading back to schools and people are heading off to school. |
| 1:40.0 | And college is a huge milestone that is taking place in a lot of people's lives right now, whether it's sending a child off school, whether you are starting teaching and professoring, |
| 1:51.0 | and then you're going to school, whether you are heading off to school, you're going to college is a big fucking deal for a number of reasons. |
| 2:02.0 | Of course, the obvious reasons that we all know, which is like, you know, you're going into a new space, a new setting, you're embarking on a new adventure, etc. Yes. |
| 2:14.0 | In my opinion, it's even more of a bigger deal at this time in our nation's history, because we have seen that the actual effort towards keeping people uneducated is now going to a legislative level in ways that I just wasn't even expecting to happen in this lifetime. |
| 2:31.0 | When we start seeing that, like, you don't even need a college degree to teach in Florida, they are fine with you just having a certificate and being a veteran, you don't need a college degree to teach in Arizona either. We start to see not that, listen, don't get me wrong. |
| 2:47.0 | That also sends a message that like teachers aren't valued. And what I think we need to understand from the next step after that is that if teachers aren't valued, then that means education isn't valued. |
| 2:57.0 | And if education isn't valued, you ask yourself why, why are they not valuing education because all the people who are making these rules are people who have higher education, people who have been to Ivy League schools, people who have been a part of legacies of generations that have access to higher education. |
| 3:13.0 | So why are they all the sudden acting as if education is not important and it's because they know that knowledge is power. They know that it is the same thought process behind not allowing slaves to learn to read. |
| 3:33.0 | Knowledge is power. Now you will have people that will say, well, going to college is really just about spending money. It's not about actually learning anything. |
