I'm so happy to see her, but it's always a hard time to say that.

But Shannon, I was, Shannon Watts of mom's demand action I got to meet

you with the DNC and I was so thrilled because I'm just a huge fan but I hate to say

that like when I have to say good to see you it's always because something like this happens right and we I put on my March for our lives t-shirts and you come out and do your spiel and it seems like we do this play over and over again in America, right?

I think it's really important to remember that the gun lobby, gun extremists want us to

feel hopeless. The way I look at it is there are nearly the

equivalent of 20 mass shootings in this country every day, right? Over a

hundred people shot and killed, hundreds more wounded.

And when it happens so publicly in a concentrated area,

in a high school, it's when the nation's attention, when the media's attention is

drawn to it, and it is an important time to talk about the solutions and to

decide that you as an advocate, as an American, want to get off the sidelines.
