called slowing down. This week, our pastor Eric Reese, you all know Pastor Eric is the pastors of ministries here

at Saddleback, and he was down in Brazil, teaching purpose driven down in Brazil this week.

And when he had to go, he was late for his plane when he was leaving here, and so he was in a hurry

and he was speeding. And as he was going fast, he figured the fastest way to get to the airport

was used to toll road. Well, because he was going so fast, he missed the signs that said

toll road closed today, detour.

And of course, he gets to the end and it's closed.

So he has to give off the off ramp, go over the overpass, get back on the on ramp,

come back the other way, get off that off ramp, take, you know, retract, backtrack,

take surface streets, et cetera.

And, of course, he was late.

And he said, you know, the lesson was obvious.

When you're moving too fast, you miss the signs.

God has signs for you all the time.

He speaks to you all the time through circumstances, through other people,

through your husband, through your wife, through me, through all kinds of circumstances.

God says, hey, if you'll just listen to me, I will tell you in advance, that business idea, it's a dead end.
