Hey, Mary Day after Christmas, everybody. Thanks for joining us on the Daily Drive. My name is Mike,

and we're spending a few minutes each day this week just talking about moments, and we're trying to practice what Mary, the mother

of Jesus did right after his birth. In the middle of all the chaos, in the middle of all the

uncertainty, it says this in Luke chapter 2, verse 19. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.

I'm learning a few things about moments from this brave teenage girl.

The first thing I'm learning is that I need to soak in the moment.

Then I try to rush past it, but to really soak it and savour it to do, I want to do more

treasuring, more pondering, more reflecting, more times of gratitude and awe and worship of what God

is doing in my life. I rush by way too many moments. I told you yesterday, I'm kind of a basketball

junkie, and I record a lot of games, and I grew up in Lexington, Kentucky, so I'm a big University of Kentucky Wildcat fan, and I record all the games.

And one game I missed, my son watched it live, but I had to record it, and he said, he texts me, says, Dad, when you get home, there's this play that's going to make you jump out of your seat and you're going to yell,

oh my. How about, do I, do I say that like this? Yeah, you say that a lot. So get home and I'll watch the game, I, the game I'd record it. And there's this play that happens where this guy steals the

ball and he crosses somebody over and goes up and he throws down his thunder, it's dunk. I jumped out of my seat and went, oh my, and Drew said, that was it.

That was it.

That was the play I was talking about.

I said, do I say, oh my?

He goes, yeah, you just always saying, oh, my, oh my.
