Summary

2021 saw the U.S. economy fluctuate a great deal as a result of the pandemic. Workers quit their jobs in droves in “the Great Resignation.” Americans experienced relief from government-provided stimulus benefits, but supply chains and inflation slowed the nation’s economic recovery. Former Economic Adviser during the Obama Administration and Founder and CEO of 32Advisers, Robert Wolf joins to break down the biggest economic trends of 2021, how the supply chain and inflation issues impacted Americans, and what to expect for the U.S. economy in the New Year. In 2021, we saw the launch of the space tourism industry. A trend fueled by billionaire entrepreneurs like Blue Origin’s Jeff Bezos, Virgin Galactic’s Richard Branson and Space X’s Elon Musk, who all successfully launched rockets this past year. While the missions did make history, many began asking, is this the beginning of the space tourism industry or is it just billionaires showing off? We look back at our interview from July 23rd, when we spoke with famed astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson about the inaugural Blue Origin flight and asked him if billionaires getting involved in space travel was good for the world. Plus, commentary from James Carafano, Heritage Foundation's Vice President for Foreign & Security policy. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
