As we begin our day, we remember Your words from the Gospel after You washed the disciples' feet: No servant is greater than his master, nor any messenger greater than the one who sent him. If we understand this, we are blessed when we do it. You know those You have chosen. Help us today to serve others humbly, just as You served. Teach us not to seek to be greater than You or those You send into our lives. Give us the grace to live Your example of humble service with joy and faithfulness. May our actions show we truly follow You, the Master who stooped to wash feet. We ask this through Christ Our Lord. Amen."
