Welcome to slow more. It must have been in 2006, 2007, sometime when YouTube started because I remember I saw it on YouTube that I saw a documentary that was called

the Ascend of Money.

If you look for it now, you probably may not find it. But at the time, until then I was constantly buying

into the capitalist model, if you want, of money is good, more money is better.

You can make money, you can invest money, you can grow your money.

And that

because of the documentary was called The Ascend of Money basically said money doesn't actually exist.

That because of the ability for banks to print money on demand, you're chasing something thinking that it has

value, but it really has almost no value at all. It's constantly inflated and accordingly it reduces its value over time and

While you have to labor for it for years others can literally create it as a few numbers on a spreadsheet.

2008, though, the economic crisis, Greece was the center of the focus of the finance world.

Greece as a country went bankrupt.

And it really, really struggled.

I worked at Google at the time,

and I worked with Greece closely and at the time I think one of every two people were out of a job.

It was a very tough time and there was a minister of finance that became honestly, as he was called a rock star politician who took on the European Union. Janice Varu-Fakis. Janice Varu-Fakis, he's a professor of economics

at the University of Athens and the author of many many best selling books you know non-fiction on the topic of economics and he simply
