Summary

Bullseye is a show about the creative process. And how artists' lives affect the work they make: their loved ones, friends and family, too. But what about when two artists - two genuine creative geniuses - are married to each other? Corin Tucker, the singer and guitarist of Sleater-Kinney has been with her husband Lance Bangs for over two decades. Earlier this month, they joined Jesse to talk about how they mix music, movies and love... and how they spent this past Valentine's Day. They couldn't even get a table at the Cheesecake Factory! This interview was recorded on stage at Revolution Hall in Portland Oregon as part of the first annual Listen Up Festival.

0:32.6	Corin Tucker and Lance Banks.

0:39.6	Corinne is of course a rock and roll legend. She sings and plays guitar in Slater
0:44.7	Kinney as well as a bunch of other bands. These days she's collaborating with
0:48.6	REM's Peter Buck in the new band Filthy Friends. Lance is a renowned director who
0:54.5	works mostly in music videos and comedy. He's worked with Nirvana, Odd Future, Jen Kirkman
1:00.0	and Hannibal Burris, among many others. He's also been very involved with the Jackass
1:05.2	movies and TV shows. So if you've ever seen them do something on film that was so gross
1:10.2	that it made the cameraman throw up, well, that cameraman was probably Lance.
1:16.6	And since we recorded this episode the night after Valentine's Day, we figured we'd talk
1:20.9	a little bit about how Lance and Corinne have kept all this up through two decades of
1:26.5	loving marriage. Anyway, let's go to the stage at the Listen Up Festival in Portland, Oregon.
1:33.3	So the two of you have been married for nearly 20 years now. How did you meet?
1:39.3	I'd like to hear your version.
1:42.6	Well, I think that's the first question.
1:46.6	We met in Olympia, Washington in 1996. But we had spoken on the phone, right?
1:56.3	We met in Athens, Georgia. Yeah.
