My guests are Nama El-Baghir and Raja Razak.

Part of the CNN team that went undercover to show the world footage of a slave auction

in Libya just last month, a slave auction in 2017. Nama has reported for CNN since 2011, focusing

primarily on Africa. She has done extraordinary reporting on the Ebola outbreak and Boko Haram.

CNN ultimately won a Peabody for her reporting on the 276 Nigerian girls kidnapped by Boko Haram. She was also among

the first to report from Darfur. She's won numerous prestigious prizes for fearless reporting

on horrifying situations while somehow enabling the people she covers to convey

dignity and humanity. Rajah Razak is an Emmy award-winning producer and was the producer on this story.

She managed the vast network of contacts needed to produce an undercover story of this kind.

asking us on. Thank you. Can you just start by telling us the story of the story, if you like,

how you came to be investigating a slave auction in Libya in 2017? Well, we actually started out trying to understand

what happened to the migrant crisis.

It felt like three years ago,

this was really forced onto people's consciousness.

We also saw those images

of the bodies washing up on the shore of Europe,

and then it felt like it stopped.

And so the question that we were asking each other was, how did it stop?
