I am here in Washington with Slate Senior Editor Will Salatin, joining us for the first time on the Gab Fest.

else. Elliot Spitzer, former governor of New York, Slate contributor, and host of a forthcoming

soon, CNN TV show. When is the show going to start, Elliot?

I think early October we will be on the air. So we get Elliott in previews now. And we're going to talk today about three topics. We're going to

talk about the coming up November elections and what the primaries this week, particularly in Colorado and

Connecticut, mean for control of the House and Senate. And we're going to talk, secondly, about the

dismal state of the economy. And thirdly, we're going to talk, secondly, about the dismal state of the economy.

And thirdly, we're going to talk about my, the topic I'm looking forward to most about the

jet blue, the jet blue flight attendant incident and the rage of Robert Gibbs, the president's

press secretary and the general fury in the office,

and is it contagious?

And then we're going to have some cocktail chatter.

So let's start with the elections.

Will, on Tuesday night, there was a series of primaries in, particular in Colorado, in Connecticut,

and I think there was one in Georgia, two, where Democratic incumbent Senator Michael Bennett

won a primary race in Colorado, and he's now going to face off against a Tea Party candidate

who knocked off the Republican establishment favorite, which is the story we keep hearing this year.

Should the Democrats be rejoicing about what happened in Colorado?

Yeah, I mean, I think Democrats should be happy. I think Democrats, should the Democrats be rejoicing about what happened in Colorado? Yeah.
