Today we're going to talk about three things.

The first is a study that just came out by Pugue about the Rise rise of wives, called The Rise of Wives,

which is a great name.

And it's about how the growing number of women who are better educated and earn more than

their husbands.

The second thing we're going to talk about is the gay marriage case, now unfolding in

California, about which Margaret is the reigning national expert at the moment.

And the third thing we're going to talk about is basically Tina Faye, but more broadly,

just her ability to portray herself as more ugly and just kind of whether there's a growing

acceptance for women who are older and less attractive than there has been before.

So let's start with the Pew study.

The takeaway from the Pew study is that is the growing number of women who, the study

compares 1970 to now and talks about how many more women, wives now, make more money than

their husbands.
