Greetings, listening here! I'm Tom, I'm Ben. I'm Matthew and welcome to the first Papi's flat share of the year.

Very exciting.

Oh, it's 2023 everybody and this is the first Papi's flat share.

It's a flat share slam down and boy oh boy it's a goody it's a real goody it's really exciting we're

reunited with old friends the birthday girls it's sketch on sketch it's it's absolute sketch go on sketch go. Yeah. Yeah, so we this is an episode we did at the

brilliant cheerful earful festival which happens in London in October and November every year.

I think this was the first year they'd done it but they do it again this year.

Very exciting and...

In a fantastic pub in Balam.

Oh, the Bedford in Balam. So it's a different venue and a slightly

different setup as well because we did the birthday girls podcast they did our

podcast we did sort of podcast Swopper uni and so this episode is Tom and Camille are on a team and Ben and

Beatty are on a team and then Rose and I are hosting together. I loved it.

As a set-up we went persona for persona didn't we? It's kind of like I would say

Ben is our BT you know I am the Camille of Papies and Rose and Matthew are the

authoritarian dictatorship the less fun ones if you will so that's what we decided to do. We should say like we first started working with the birthday girls. We did

GCSE bite size in 2010 and recorded little dramas about you know the GCSE set text. That's how we got to know the birthday girls.

That's right, we crowned ourselves the 2010ers and we've been firm friends ever since so this is this is 13 years in the

making yeah it's great it's great to be paired back with them again it was really

really fun if you if you like them then check out their podcast the birthday girls house party which is

absolutely brilliant runners up at the Chortle Awards I imagine well we don't

this is it here's the thing that we're recording this the week before the Chautel Awards happen, but this will go out on the Tuesday after the Chautel Awards, right? We're up against them. Papi's flat share is up against birthday girls.
