Erica, welcome to the podcast. Thanks for having me. Excited to be here. I'm so excited. I feel like

skin and nutrition are a really interesting subject and kind of very much the beginning of

my career in kind of nutrition health was very focused around

skin health so I can't wait to dive in but I would love to kind of hear your story what got you

interested in nutrition what got you interested in skincare okay so in my early 20s I developed acne

you know obviously your first port of call is to go to the GP

and, you know, I was on various rounds of medication because at that time, you didn't quite make

the link between diet and skin and acne. So yeah, first port of call went to the GP. I was on

antibiotics and various rounds of things like anti-androgens and also the birth control pill for my acne. So I had this for about a decade. So it was on and off for a decade. And every time I came off the medication, I thought it had cleared, but like clockwork, it would take three months

and then the acne would come back with a vengeance. And that was like a cycle on and off. And I just thought,

I don't want to be on this medication forever. And it's not good for me. Surely it's doing
