So many of you know that in previous years, we have done a series we've called Bikes versus

skis, where our team has answered the question, which bike company is most like which ski company.

It is an interesting exercise to get a handle on brand perceptions and which brands are hot

and which brands maybe aren't trending in quite the right direction.

But this year, we are zooming out a bit, and instead we're going

to be putting up the entire ski industry versus the entire bike industry to identify the

interesting similarities or differences, get a handle of the relative health of both, and to see

how the trends in one industry may or may not

align with trends in the other. So for this roundtable conversation, we brought together from

our team, Luke Kappa, David Golae, Simon Stewart, Kara Williard, and Zan Marshland, who we are very happy to welcome back

to our Blister team. Now, this is a pretty big conversation, so, surprise, surprise, it went

pretty long. So we decided to break it up into two parts, and part two will go up next Friday. So give this a listen and then

we'd love to hear what you think about the similarities, differences, trends, or health of the

ski or bike industry or both. And then next week in part two, our conversation will turn more

toward the state of ski shops today and bike shops today.

We're going to talk about some wins and fails when it comes to ski gear and bike gear.

And we will offer our thoughts on which industry we think has the brighter future.
