Most people have heard the tale of the 100-mile track of footprints that appeared one snowy

morning in Devon, England in 1855.

Known as the devil's footprints, they went through walls and pipes, and all sorts of places

it would have been impossible to walk.

Must we be forced to admit that the devil walked in Devon?
